If you go to The Shire, try the Breakfast Poutine or the Smoked Duck Eggs Benedict. Cannot recommend enough! The food here is perfection. Portion sizes are generous, but not overly so, and are incredibly filling. Amy was our server and her communication and attentiveness was a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch, baby in tow, and felt like the staff here truly enjoy their work. The atmosphere is not as cozy as I would personally envision a LOTR themed restaurant to be, but the wood paneling and rounded accents are definitely trying to give the vibe. This is worth a trip to Simcoe, we will be back!
Great place to go. Fair prices, and they fill your plate. Our family has been going here for years. We've always enjoyed having our own personal carafe of coffee for our table. Be patient with the service, though. Depending on the time of day, it could be a little wait for a host/hostess, clean table, silverware, or wait time for your bill. The staff are always busy. It's worth the wait, and locals know it, I feel.
We had the opportunity to try the smoked beef as well as the fish and chips, and both dishes were thoroughly enjoyable. However, the additional charge for upgrading to sweet potato fries seemed somewhat excessive. The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and professionalism. I would highly recommend this place to others
Wings where BOGO tonight, Thursday, decent size and delicious. Dry Cajun and Medium where the choices. Shared a large Greek salad, it was delicious! One of the better Greek Salads in the area. Overall a delicious nicely priced meal. Oh, and good ceaser and amber ale! Wonderful friendly server as well
